Save Our Strays Spay/Neuter Voucher program

Vouchers are issued to qualified applicants and must be applied to the cost of a spay/neuter surgery only.  SOS vouchers will only pay a portion of the procedure and the remaining balance is the financial responsibility of the animal guardian.

We consider many factors for voucher approval, not just family income.  Our mission is to reduce companion animal overpopulation and to help animals in need.

Due to funding, our voucher program is currently limited to families living in either Somerset, Kennebec, or Penobscot counties.  We may consider some applications from Waldo county, depending on the situation and location.

FMI:  call 1-888-772-3162, press 2 for the Spay/neuter voucher program, and leave a message with your name and mailing addresss.  An application and more information will be mailed to you.
